I’m trying something a little new here. [This is an experiment!] I have had a pre-spring clear-out of my wardrobe to make space for some new additions and freshen myself up a bit before spring. I don’t like to feel cluttered, and recently i’ve been craving a more streamlined wardrobe, so I have set about weeding out anything I don’t wear because it doesn’t fit, and putting a pile of overworked items into the charity shop. Last time I had a clearout, I had such an amazing response from readers, I thought I’d advertise my wares online here too. So, below is a little selection of boots, shoes and items I love, but sadly cannot wear because I bought/was given the wrong size. Ash ‘Jess Bis’ Ankle Boots in Black Leather in a size 38/UK5/US7. Retail at £155.00. Model number: 81764. Come in their original Ash Italia box.
Exquisite buttery soft black leather cowboy style boots. Zipped ankle boots featuring a lightly distressed finish with self stitched panels, an almond shaped toe, a chunky exposed side zip with a plaited tassel and skull charm detailing, a slim flat sole and Western style block heel. Worn three times – very good condition with only very slight signs of wear to the sole. Please note: the leather has been treated to look faded and distressed in some areas. As a result, the colour is not completely even across the boot. This is how the boot was designed to look – it is not due to wear.These boots are gorgeous – they are just slightly too small for me and pinch on the toe. I have several pairs of Ash boots in a 38 [I usually wear a standard 38.5] but for some reason this particular style came up small than usual, so I would in fact say they run exactly true to size. They look great worn with skinny jeans, tucked in, or with bare legs and dresses. I imagine if they are the right size for you they would be blissfully comfortable, and having a small heel, great for walking around the city. The Jess Bis boots have been a bestseller this season as a good alternative to the similar Isabel Marant ‘Dicker’ boot and have sold out in many stores and online. They currently retail for £155.00 [I have my original receipt] and are sold by My Wardrobe, Asos, Jules B, The Dressing Room and other boutiques.

AW11 Comptoir de Cotonniers ‘Lenzou’ Ankle Boots in Camel Suede in a UK6 / EU39 / US8. Model number: OFG02602. Come in their original Comptoir de Cotonniers box. Bought for £190.00 from the Marylebone Road boutique in London.
Divine, buttery soft camel suede ankle boots. Round toe, side zip, sturdy sole and sculpted wooden block heel. Worn several times – very good condition with only very slight signs of wear to the sole and a couple of tiny speckles to the suede. Have been well cared for, sprayed with protector and cleaned with a suede-cleaning cube.
These boots are one of my favourite pairs – sadly, they are just a little too big for me and as a result I just don’t wear them as much as I should. These sold out everywhere in stores and I only got hold of pair because my friend manages one of the regional stores and she called Head Office, who said they’d hold them for an hour – so I had to hot-foot it across London! They look great worn with skinny jeans, tucked in, or with bare legs and shorts/ a midi skirt. I imagine if they are the right size for you they would be blissfully comfortable, and having a high heel, great for a bit of lift.

Vintage 1960′s faux fur leopard-print coat. No sizing label, but I would estimate this is a UK size 10. Depending on how you like the fit. It could be worn baggy on a size 8, or a closer fit on a small size 12. Gorgeously warm. The perfect leopard-print – black markings on a golden, honeyed faux fur. Made in England. Hook and eye closures. Lined. Excellent vintage condition – no marks or holes and no worn patches. Measurements: Bust – 40 inches / Shoulder to Shoulder – 16 inches / Arm Length – 22 inches / Overall Length – 29 inches. Selling as leopard print coats don’t really suit me and I have far too many winter coats, so it has to go! A classic vintage piece, though, and with plenty of years wear left in it!

Beautifully soft, creamy tan nubuck ballet flats with an almond toe and bow tie front. Soft tan leather interior. These were a gift – they have only been worn a couple of times indoors but are too small for me. They are classic ballet pumps and a lovely shape, very similar to French Sole. External sole (toe to heel) – 9.5 inches

Cotton high-necked blossom-print blouse by Echoo. Size S/M or 8/10/12, depending on how you want the fit.
Soft cotton blouse in a pretty print with epaulet shoulder detail, iridescent loop-fastening buttons, smocked back and long sleeves, which can be buttoned up at the sides and worn ¾ length. Very sweet shirt. I am selling as it is a little too big for me and I have so many shirts, I need more room in my wardrobe!

Vintage 1950′s striped midi skirt in black, grey/mauve and dark green. Size UK6-8. XS.
High waisted, with a thick cummerbund, button side fastening and side zip fastening. Falls a little way above the ankle. Lovely worn with bare legs and flats in summer, with a ballet top, with a cropped sweater and riding boots in winter, or dressed up with a belt and heels for evening-wear. Excellent condition – no marks or rips. Label reads “Made by Julia at Sidgreene, London”.
